Generate a realistic TEMPEST spectrum using a desktop computer or a notebook computer with a Thunderbolt to PCIe adapter
The TEMPEST Signal generator is part of the CLC TEMPEST Training System. It generates a realistic RF spectrum containing TEMPEST emanations. The application generates audio, video, and digital signals. The signals are wave shaped and used to modulate RF carriers. Noise is then added to the spectrum as a ratio of the carrier level. The RF spectrum, modulating signal and sync signal are then uploaded to a Digital to Analog Converter (DAC) that has a usable RF spectrum up to 500 MHz.

The instructor can control the carrier type. carrier level, modulation type, modulation level, data rate, data type and, and noise level. The student can control the audio format (continuous, swept, or keyed), video pattern, or digital test message. The digital signals are serial RS-422, serial MLT-3 (Ethernet coding) and 8 bit parallel.

The TEMPEST Signal generator can also replay a recorded spectrum with actual noise and emanations recorded with the CLC TEMPEST Receiver..
